Pipedrive Integration

Connect Parsley to Pipedrive. Sync leads as Persons, open Deals in your pipeline, and log chatbot conversations as Activities with buyer intent and MEDDIC signals.

Connect Parsley to Pipedrive for automatic lead and conversation sync. Leads land as Persons, linked to their Organization, carrying buyer intent and qualification as custom fields, with a Deal opened in your pipeline and the full conversation logged as an Activity.

Availability. The sync is built and tested. Pipedrive does not allow a public Marketplace app to be installed by other companies until it clears review, and ours is in the queue - so today we run the connect step with you rather than it being self-serve. Get in touch and we'll set it up and verify a test lead end to end. Everything below describes the sync as it works now.

Quick Setup

  1. Have a Pipedrive account with API access
  2. Navigate to Hub > Integrations in Parsley
  3. Click Connect to Pipedrive on the Pipedrive card
  4. Authorize Parsley in the Pipedrive OAuth screen
  5. Verify the connection shows "Connected" status

That's it. Leads and conversations now sync automatically.

Prerequisites

  • A Pipedrive account - Sign up at pipedrive.com if you don't have one.
  • A Parsley account - CRM integrations are included on every account; there is no add-on or upgrade. Sync runs off conversations, so you need conversation balance for data to reach your CRM - 10 free at signup, then 25¢ each. View pricing.
  • Admin of your Parsley organization - if your Parsley account belongs to an organization, only an org admin can connect or change the CRM connection. The connection is shared by the whole team, so one admin connects it once on everyone's behalf. Solo accounts with no organization are unaffected.

Step 1: Connect to Pipedrive

From your Parsley dashboard:

  1. Go to Hub in the left sidebar
  2. Click Integrations
  3. Find the Pipedrive card
  4. Click Connect to Pipedrive
  5. You'll be redirected to Pipedrive's authorization screen
  6. Sign in to your Pipedrive account if prompted
  7. Click Allow to grant Parsley access

You'll be redirected back to Parsley with a "Pipedrive Connected" confirmation.

On first sync, Parsley provisions its custom fields on your Person and Deal entities. This happens automatically. If provisioning partly fails, the connection still succeeds and sync continues with whatever was created - it degrades rather than breaking.

Installing from the Pipedrive Marketplace

If you install Parsley from the Pipedrive Marketplace rather than from Parsley, Pipedrive has no way to tell us which Parsley account you are. You'll land on the integrations page with a prompt to press Connect to Pipedrive to finish linking. This is deliberate: binding a Marketplace install to whoever happened to be signed in could hand one company's CRM to another.

What Syncs to Pipedrive

Every chatbot conversation that captures a lead syncs to Pipedrive as a Person. Persons are matched by exact email address, so existing records are updated rather than duplicated. If the prospect mentions a company, the Person is linked to an existing Organization, or a new one is created with that name.

PhonePerson phone (primary)

Custom Fields

Parsley provisions custom fields on both Persons and Deals.

On Persons

FieldTypeDescription
Parsley Buyer IntentTextHot, Warm, or Cold
Parsley Intent SignalTextHigh Intent, Evaluation, Research, or Support
Parsley Lead SourceTextChatbot, Profile View, or Exchange Form
Parsley Profile URLTextDirect link to the Parsley profile where the conversation began
Parsley QualificationTextMEDDIC signals detected, as "N of 6"
Parsley Message CountNumberNumber of messages in the conversation
Parsley Last InteractionDateDate of the most recent chatbot conversation

On Deals

FieldTypeDescription
Parsley Buyer IntentTextHot, Warm, or Cold
Parsley Intent SignalTextHigh Intent, Evaluation, Research, or Support
Parsley QualificationTextMEDDIC signals detected, as "N of 6"

Buyer intent and qualification are separate on purpose. Buyer intent is the temperature - how ready this prospect is to buy. Qualification is how winnable the deal is, scored across the six MEDDIC signals. A prospect can be Hot with a thin qualification score, or Cold with a complete one. Filtering on both is more useful than either alone.

When a Person is re-synced, existing field values are replaced rather than appended, so each field holds one current value.

Deals

When a lead is captured for the first time, Parsley opens a Deal in your default pipeline, linked to the new Person and Organization, carrying the buyer intent and qualification fields.

Returning prospects do not get a second Deal. A prospect who has three more conversations updates their Person record and adds three Activities, but the original Deal stays as the single open opportunity. This keeps your pipeline honest rather than inflating it with duplicates.

Conversation Activities

Every meaningful chatbot conversation syncs as a completed Activity on the Pipedrive Person. The Activity note includes:

  • Conversation summary - Key points and topics discussed
  • Buyer intent - Hot, Warm, or Cold based on signals
  • Qualification - Which MEDDIC signals fired, with supporting quotes
  • Engagement metrics - Message count, session duration, return visitor status
  • Unanswered questions - Anything the chatbot could not answer from your docs

Reps review it before the first call.

A conversation only syncs if the visitor left an email address and that email matches a Person in Pipedrive. Conversations from anonymous visitors are not synced.

Sync Controls

Two toggles on the Pipedrive card control what syncs:

  • Auto-sync contacts - new leads create or update Persons and open Deals automatically
  • Sync conversations - chatbot conversations attach as Activities

Both can be turned off independently without disconnecting.

Verification

After connecting:

  1. Capture a test lead - Use your own email to fill out the contact form on your Parsley profile
  2. Check Pipedrive - Within a few seconds a Person appears with the Parsley custom fields set, plus a Deal in your default pipeline
  3. Have a chatbot conversation - Ask a few questions on your profile's chatbot
  4. Check the Person's Activities - The conversation Activity appears with a summary

Troubleshooting

"Pipedrive connection is missing its account domain" - Pipedrive scopes access tokens to your own company domain, and that value was not captured. Disconnect and reconnect from the integrations card.

"Authentication expired" - disconnect and reconnect Pipedrive from the integrations card to issue a fresh token.

A Person is not being updated - Parsley matches on the exact email address. If the Person in Pipedrive has a different address, sync creates a new Person rather than updating the existing one.

Custom fields are missing - Parsley provisions them on first sync. If your Pipedrive user lacks permission to create custom fields, ask an admin to connect the integration instead; contacts, Deals and Activities still sync without them.

"Only organization admins can manage the CRM connection" - the CRM connection is shared across your Parsley organization, so only an org admin can change it. Ask your admin to connect it.

What's Next

  • Filter your Deals list by Parsley Buyer Intent to work the hottest opportunities first
  • Build a Pipedrive filter combining Hot intent with a high qualification score to find deals that are both ready and winnable
  • Connect Parsley's MCP server to Claude or Cursor for cross-tool queries
