- Your Salesflare API key - Found in Settings > API Keys in Salesflare.
Step 1: Get Your API Key
- Log in to Salesflare
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Click API Keys
- Click Create API Key
- Name it "Parsley Integration"
- Copy the generated key
Keep this key secure - you'll need it in the next step.
Step 2: Connect to Salesflare
From your Parsley dashboard:
- Go to Hub in the left sidebar
- Click Integrations
- Find the Salesflare card
- Click Connect
- Paste your API key
- Click Save
The Salesflare card will now show "Connected" status.
Step 3: Contact Sync
Contact sync is enabled by default. Here's what happens when you capture a lead:
| Parsley Field | Salesflare Field |
|---|---|
email | |
| First Name | firstname |
| Last Name | lastname |
| Phone | phone_number |
| Company | organisation |
| Job Title | position |
How it works:
- Parsley searches for existing contacts by email
- If found, Parsley updates the contact
- If not, Parsley creates a new contact
- Accounts are auto-created or linked based on company name
Sync triggers:
- Lead capture via contact exchange form
- Lead capture via chatbot conversation
- Contact form submissions on your profile
Intelligence Tags
Parsley automatically provisions 12 intelligence tags in your Salesflare account. These tags are applied to contacts based on their chatbot conversation and appear directly on the contact record for filtering and automation.
Lead Source (1 tag)
| Tag | Applied When |
|---|---|
Parsley: Chatbot Lead | Every lead captured through a Parsley chatbot conversation |
Lead Quality (1 of 3 tags)
| Tag | Applied When |
|---|---|
Parsley: Hot Lead | Strong buying signals - mentions budget, timeline, or decision authority |
Parsley: Warm Lead | Moderate interest - asking about features, pricing, or use cases |
Parsley: Cold Lead | Early-stage - general questions, research, or browsing |
Engagement (0-2 tags)
| Tag | Applied When |
|---|---|
Parsley: Return Visitor | Prospect has visited your profile in a previous session |
Parsley: Deep Conversation | Prospect sent 8 or more messages - a substantive engagement |
MEDDIC Signals (0-6 tags)
| Tag | Applied When |
|---|---|
Parsley: Metrics Signal | Prospect mentions measurable outcomes or success criteria |
Parsley: Economic Buyer Signal | Prospect indicates they are a decision-maker or budget holder |
Parsley: Decision Criteria Signal | Prospect describes specific requirements or evaluation criteria |
Parsley: Decision Process Signal | Prospect mentions their evaluation or buying process |
Parsley: Identify Pain Signal | Prospect describes a specific pain point or challenge |
Parsley: Champion Signal | Prospect indicates they are advocating internally for a solution |
Using tags in Salesflare: Filter your contact list or pipeline by any Parsley tag to segment leads. For example, filter by Parsley: Hot Lead + Parsley: Return Visitor to find high-priority prospects who keep coming back. Combine with Parsley: Deep Conversation to find the most engaged leads. Tags can also trigger Salesflare email sequences for automated follow-up.
Step 4: Conversation Sync
When a prospect has a meaningful chatbot conversation on your Parsley profile, the context syncs to Salesflare as a task on their Account record.
What syncs to Salesflare:
- Conversation summary - Key points and topics discussed
- Lead quality score - Hot, Warm, or Cold based on signals
- MEDDIC signals - Metrics, Economic Buyer, Decision Criteria, Decision Process, Identify Pain, Champion indicators
- Engagement metrics - Message count, session duration, return visitor status
The conversation task appears in the Account's timeline, giving you context before your first call.
Step 5: Verify the Connection
- Check the integration status - The Salesflare card should show "Connected"
- Capture a test lead - Use your own email to fill out your profile's contact form
- Check Salesflare - Within a few seconds, you should see a new Contact record
- Have a chatbot conversation - Ask a few questions on your profile's chatbot
- Check the Account's timeline - The conversation task should appear
